July, 2002... Test and prototype boxes were delivered to several hospitals, children's homes, schools serving kids with Downs Syndrome and Autism, Fire and Police departments, and agencies working with the homeless and at-risk children. We received feedback regarding safety, age-appropriateness, and effectiveness from councilors, doctors and nurses, and other professionals.

We seek grants and individual funding for the Art Box Program. Over 85 percent of all contributions go toward the Art Box Program. There are no paid employees. All packing and deliveries are done by volunteers. Overhead is kept to a bare minimum. The organization only pays for this web site, utilities, and printing needs.
